Newly Selected Sri Lankan Cricket Captain 

Sri Lankan opening Batsmen Thilakarathne Dilshan was selected as new captain of Sri Lankan National team. He will guide Sri Lanka in upcoming tour of England. 34 years old Dilshan has lot of Challenges including T20 World Cup 2012 .But the national selection committee has delayed naming a vice-captain. And Dilshan is the 11th Cricket Captain of Sri Lanka.

T.M. Dilshan


Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan (born October 14, 1976 in Kalutara, Sri Lanka) is a Sri Lankan cricketer and captain of the Sri Lanka national cricket team since April 2011. He is a member of the Sri Lankan national cricket team since November 1999. He is an aggressive right-hand batsman and also a capable in spin bowler, his off breaks are mostly used in the one-day arena.And very popular on his Dils' scoop cricket shot. T.M. Dilshan won the award of Twenty20 International Performance of the Year at the ICC awards 2009 for his 96 off 57 balls against West Indies in the semi-final of the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in England.
